Martin Hannigan, Founder
Martin Hannigan is the founder and CEO of Lightboard, where he leads the development of precision-engineered, carrier-grade interconnection infrastructure. His work focuses on aligning physical-layer network design with operational, financial, and real-estate fundamentals to support scalable, cost-efficient network growth.
With a background spanning network engineering, global peering, and commercial real estate, Martin has led the development and operation of major interconnection and data-center assets across multiple U.S. markets. Prior to Lightboard, he held senior leadership roles at Centra(formerly Deep Edge), Akamai, Microsoft, Amazon and Lumen, where he shaped global interconnection strategy, negotiated large-scale network agreements, and designed high-performance network architectures at scale.
Martin brings a systems-level perspective to infrastructure—combining engineering rigor, disciplined execution, and long-term asset thinking to build predictable, high-quality interconnection environments.
Jon Swanson, Advisor
Jon Swanson is a senior operations and engineering leader with more than 20 years of experience executing large-scale fiber and telecommunications infrastructure programs. He has led field service, engineering, provisioning, and network optimization organizations across complex, multi-market environments.
Jon has held senior leadership roles at Crown Castle, Lightower, and Veroxity, where he was responsible for service delivery, network activation, capital deployment, and operational integration through acquisitions. He is known as a trusted advisor to executive teams, translating strategic priorities into scalable operating models, process improvements, and measurable execution frameworks.
At Lightboard, Jon advises on design, service delivery, architecture, and execution discipline—ensuring infrastructure platforms are built to operate reliably, efficiently, and at scale.
Paul Looney, Advisor
Paul Looney is a fiber-optics industry veteran with deep experience in technical sales, application engineering, and workforce training across data center, telecom, government, utility, and enterprise markets. He has trained thousands of engineers and technicians in fiber-optic theory, testing, splicing, monitoring, and network verification.
Paul founded QuadOptics in 2013, a manufacturer-representation and consulting firm providing pre- and post-sales technical support for leading fiber-optic infrastructure and test-equipment vendors. His career spans engineering and sales leadership roles with companies including Alcatel, AstralPoint, Fico Inc., and All-Tech.
Paul brings practical, field-level insight into fiber deployment, validation, and operational readiness, helping ensure that network designs perform as intended in real-world environments.
